I think Microsoft Excel 2007 with its great sorting capabilities can be an ideal tracking tool with the desired columns.

I did not know that you were here to sell your CRM software.I just assumed that you were asking a genuine question.
Please have respect while speaking and do not assume that others are fools jut because they do not happen to use your software.

As regards Excel, it is indeed a great tool to manage your leads. I use it personally to track down various details like Name, Address,Type of Organisation,Services interested in, Key persons, Interaction history,Last interaction by mail or call, other details like birthdays, Remarks etc.
As regards new customers, sure Excel wont help you in getting new customers and I ahve not claimed that.

If you want information about Companies, you can use the Web or Trade Directories or even some software like Capital Line etc.

    Thanks for your response,
To our knowledge, we are not here to sell our software or consider prospects as fools. Indeed we do not follow the push mechanism with our prospective buyers. We dont not buy your comments that we are considering people as fools who do not use our software. We abide the forum rules and are here to share, discuss and grow together.

Dear Mr. Bhavesh , we are here to create awareness among the user groups to fully leverage the benefits of CRM Software to effectively track and grow there business.

Coming to the discussion topic, Excel might be working really great as a contact management tool but certainly it can not manage the Leads effectively. Its a manual work and wastage of resourceful time in updating the excels and never free my human errors. A CRM in this place automates, updates, helps you collaborate easily between your team members, simplifies all your sales tasks and no doubt forms a center repository of all your Customer Data.
Customer Relationships are given so much of a priority these days than ever before and a CRM software helps you put your customer at the center of your Business to transform your Customer Experience !
Hence this automated tool, CRM is gaining its place in all Business Sectors !

“How efficiently you feel your existing system of Lead Management using Excel can track your customer interactions?”

This sentence clearly conveys a sense of dis-respect for the other party. I clearly stand by my comments on Excel as I am an actual user. It is indeed an excellent tool for managing leads. It is not a wastage of time. I am not promoting Microsoft Office but just giving my experience.

Your comments clearly point out that you are promoting the use of CRM and as your profile shows, you are actually selling a particular CRM.

I will not expend further time and energy in this conversation.Thank you.
